David Alexander, HVAC pro in Missouri

  David's Story

After I graduated from Central High School in Springfield, Mo in 1984 I joined the U.S. Army. I served 3 years active duty in wire communications and served 3 years in the Inactive Reserves where I took a four month active appointment during the 1st Gulf conflict. That was a very valuable time in my life because it taught me the problem solving skills that I possess today that helps me successfully run our HVAC company.

After being honorably discharged from the military, I attended Sooner College of Technology and earned my Air Conditioning and refrigeration service mechanic license. I have had a great career working with some of the best service companies in the area, including working as a factory service technician for Carrier Corp. During this time I received my Master Mechanical license.

My wife Anita and I moved to Bolivar MO in 1997 with our 3 children and I went to work for Southwest Baptist University. I worked there for eight years and we added another son to our family.

In 2005 I went to work in Springfield working with the local 178 union for two years. I had always wanted to have my own business, so after a couple of layoffs due to the economy, and a lot of prayer, we started David’s Heating & Cooling in 2007. Anita kept her job as the secretary of Bolivar UMC so we could pay our bills and I went to work with my pickup truck and my tools.

Fast forward seven years to the present and we have 5 vans, 2 trucks and 9 employees. We have the best reputation in the area for our honest, dependable, and professional service delivery. We owe our greatest debt of gratitude to God for seeing us through the tough times and blessing us with great employees and customers.

We are a service minded company which means that we like to go above and beyond to make sure our customers’ needs are always met. We spend a little more time getting to know the root of the problem by doing a technician summary at each job in order to ensure that our service is top of the line. Our motto has always been…

“WE’RE NOT COMFORTABLE UNTIL YOU ARE.”
